This Privacy Policy describes how the DepEd Centralized Portal ("the Application", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, processes, and protects your personal information when you authenticate through our platform. This platform operates as an official division tool within the Department of Education Zamboanga City Schools Division Office.

To provide maximum accessibility, users may access this portal via two methods: directly authenticating through **Google Identity Services (Sign In with Google)**, or by establishing a distinct, secure **local application password** to sign in using their official Google email address later on.

We are fully dedicated to protecting your data privacy rights in strict compliance with the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173).

1. Information We Collect

When you authenticate using your official Google Account, the system requests and stores only the minimum operational parameters required:

Google ID: A unique numerical identifier to map your profile securely.
Official Email Address: Your official @deped.gov.ph account to verify your division assignment.
Full Name: Your first name and last name to configure your user record.
Profile Picture (Avatar URL): The image link used to render your avatar in the system headers.

Note: The DepEd Centralized Portal never accesses or handles your private, primary Google Account password. Any local application passwords you configure to sign in later are heavily encrypted using secure, irreversible hashing protocols (Bcrypt) within our local database infrastructure.

2. How We Use Your Information

The system utilizes your retrieved account properties strictly to execute core infrastructure workflows:

To verify your role clearances and establish a secure authenticated state.
To restrict access to unauthorized non-DepEd domains or accounts.
To render your identity metrics accurately within your portal layout headers.
To maintain server-side audit logs for security monitoring and system accountability.

3. Data Storage and Retention

To ensure total information security, all databases, user profile records, and system configurations are housed on server nodes protected by **Full-Disk Encryption using LUKS (Linux Unified Key Setup)**. This infrastructure-level at-rest encryption ensures that all system data remains fully locked and unreadable in the event of unauthorized hardware access.

This is seamlessly paired with **strict transit encryption layers (HTTPS/SSL)** to protect your profile details as they travel across networks. Your user profile remains active within our encrypted storage ecosystem for as long as your professional assignment within the division requires portal access.

Upon your account's official deactivation or formal professional separation from the division, your local identity records will be permanently and securely purged from our active database production storage tables within thirty (30) business days.

4. Data Sharing

As an official administrative platform, we maintain a strict zero data-sharing mandate. We do not distribute, trade, lease, or sell your personnel data strings to external developers or commercial companies. Data is only accessible to authorized system coordinators or when mandated by a formal legal directive under Philippine statutory rules.

5. Your Rights Under RA 10173

Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012, your rights as a data subject are explicitly protected:

The right to be informed of collection routines.
The right to verify or check stored profile elements.
The right to request immediate adjustments to erroneous profile data.
The right to demand absolute erasure or blocking of your historical records.
